So I need to update...I am not doing a very good job at keeping everyone informed....

Things are moving right along...our Chinese Home Study was completed 2 days ago...so now we just have the court date on June 12 and we are home free! If everything goes smoothly in court we will get to go get our baby boy 3 weeks later! So please continue to pray that all goes well!

Some other exciting news is that our friends Brennan and Janna Conklin...just received word on Friday night that they are getting a little girl from The Home.....Lyndlee Jya Conklin....she is beautiful...Janna emailed pics!! So Kyler has two little buddies over there...Ava and Lyndlee....I guess that also means he has 2 good choices for a wife....LOL!!

We got a court date!!! YEA!!! June 12 at 2:00am our time 3:00pm Taiwan time! We are so excited....our court date comes almost exactly 2 months since we first found out about Kyler. God has really been blessing our process....pray that He continues to do so....and that we will be able to go get Kyler at the very end of June or first of July!

Well all of our paperwork is done....and now we begin the wait for a court date! Pray that it happens quickly...we would love to have Kyler by the end of June.....that is really fast for an international adoption. But with God anything is possible! Keep praying!

Yea! Kelynn and Jason got the call too...they are getting a little girl....Ava....from The Home...hopefully we will be able to go get our babies together!

Since the last time I wrote on here SO much has changed.....Richard and I recieved a call from Ted and Bev Skiles at 9pm on April 10 that we had been blessed with a beautiful baby boy from The Home of Gods Love. Wow...what a surprise....as most of you know I was really struggling with the waiting part and now to know that we are actually parents.....it is crazy!! His name is Kyler Milton-Syang Hau Jett. He was born March 16, 2007 and weighed 6 pounds 8 ounces. We are in love...below are some pictures of him....we hope to be getting some more soon! Our next step in the paperwork process is going and applying for his US citizenship paperwork in Kansas City...we will be going up there April 27. We hope to go and pick up Kyler in Taiwan sometime at the end of July early August....please continue to pray that the paperwork goes smoothly and that we get to go get him soon! Thanks for you prayers this far....much love!!

We finally got our homestudy done and back!!! Yea! Ted has it and is starting the translation process. So now the next thing we are going to do is get our passports. I am the hold up with this.....I dont have an orginial copy of my birth certificate so I have to go to the Carthage Court House and get one.....it doesnt seem like a big deal...but every afternoon that I have planned to go over there to get it something else has come up. Anyways....it feels good to have the homestudy done....one less thing to worry about.

FRUSTRATION

Our homestudy guy is really starting to bug me.....first off I understand that he couldnt help his computer crashing....but then he was able to retrieve our homestudy and he told me last week that he was going to email it to us....so I have been checking my email everyday....and still nothing....so I called him last night (I wont to call him every hour on the hour until he sends it.....but Richard wont let me) and I got his voice mail....once again I left a message...and still havent heard anything....we are paying him big bucks.....I am so frustrated!

HomeStudy Drama...

So today we were supposed to get the final copy of our homestudy back so that we could email it to Ted so they could start translation on it.....well.....we got a call from Bill (our homestudy guy) letting us know that his computer crashed and that as of right now he cant access our homestudy....but that there is a guy working on his computer hoping to retrieve everything (our homestudy included). So we are a little nervous....if they cant retrieve it then we will have to do it all over again.....talk about a pain...anyways....we should know something within a few days. Nothing like a few bumps in the road....so pray that the computer gets fixed and they can retrieve our homestudy!

The CNY party was amazing even though it did bring to surface several emotions....it was a great time to network with other couples who have or who are adopting from "The Home..." but at the same time I just wanted to bust out crying (I actually did shead a few tears throughout the party)...it just made me yearn for a baby even more, while we were there we found out that a couple who sent there application in 2 weeks before us heard on Thanksgiving day that they had been allocated a child....so most of you are probably thinking that Richard and I should be next on the list....BUT....Ted and Bev do not go straight down a list when allocating children. They pray over each child and couple and put a family together as God leads them. So you can be on "the list" for 2 months, 6 months, or even 2 years....thats the hard part....the unknown. But God's timing is perfect and when HIS timing is right we will get our baby! But all in all it was a great day and we were so thankful for the opportunity to meet other couple and hear there stories....it gives us hope!
